IES Upplands Väsby and BSK have started a collaboration to make children in the municipality more active
The pandemic has hit the children's health hard as the association life has had to shut down. The students aged 13 - 19 have also been hit hard by this as their teaching has been digital for a big part of 2020 and the beginning of 2021. For these students, it has become very sedentary also diet and sleep have been a major problem.
To do something together about children's health within Upplands Väsby, Internationella Engelska Skolan Upplands Väsby and BSK will start a collaboration. We will start by having a "Football club" one day a week at school between 3.30 - 4.30 for students aged 10 - 14 years. Mr. Ampofo will hold the Football club in our football cages. Mr Ampofo is a respected figure in BSK and many of our students have either been coached by him or have seen him coaching. He is currently studying towards achieving his UEFA B coaching licence and he is passionate about giving quality coaching to his players.
We look forward to working with BSK in the future and making the club feel welcome at our school when they start to use our facilities for their own teams in the future.
